InstallationMasters™, prompted by the Building Environment and Thermal Envelope Council (BETEC) through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Development by the American Architectural Manufacturers, is a nationwide certification program for installers of new construction and replacement windows and exterior glass doors in residential and light commercial markets. The InstallationMasters™ Training and Certification program is an important and exciting tool offered to installers of windows and doors all across the country.
The benefits of participating in the InstallationMasters™ program include enhanced credibility of experienced installers through certification; promotion of consistent, high quality installations in the residential and light commercial markets; homeowner confidence; and reduction of water damage to the building envelope, energy loss, and service calls resulting from improper installation.
The program is specifically designed to help installers:
- Avoid costly callbacks
- Improve energy efficiency by reducing air leakage and properly insulating the installation
- Work more efficiently, optimizing both time and energy
- Maximize product benefits for customer satisfaction
The online self-study courses for the InstallationMasters™ Program may be completed on at your own pace. Registration and experience are required to take the final exam for InstallationMasters™ certification through the Program Administrator, Architectural Testing.

- An exclusive discount off the regular self-study cost of InstallationMasters™ certification exam. You will pay $300 to register to take the examination and receive the InstallationMasters™ Training Manual (additional shipping and handling charges apply).
- A minimum of only one year of installation experience is required, as opposed to the usual two to six years required of most self-study candidates.
Certification is only provided through Architectural Testing, Administrator of the InstallationMasters™ Training and Certification Program.
